Every episode is transcribed, and the transcript keeps up with the audio one line at a time. The translation, in your native language, sits under each line at the same size, so you can check a sentence without stopping.

Listen without looking
After each line, the app says it again in your own language. Put the phone in your pocket and follow the episode on a walk, in the car or at the sink.
Tap the words you don’t know
The episode pauses and tells you what the word means in that sentence, which is often not the first meaning a dictionary would give you.
The word goes into your word list, and from then on it’s underlined wherever it comes up.
Start from what you already know
Before your first episode you can tick off the common words you know, fifty at a time, so the app doesn’t mark them.
